Located in the pre mountain "El Viento" this typical argentine estancia, which is 1,300 meters high, is dedicated to tourism but it is still a livestock place, concentrating on raising cows (pure Hereford), lambs, and goats.

A traditional country house, with historical and restored facilities, surrounded by native nature, with views of the Domuyo Volcano and the mountain range called “Cordillera del Viento”, along with the careful service of local staff will offer you a special stay, with guaranteed peace, enjoyment and rest.

The experience you will have at Estancia Chochoy Mallín will begin long before crossing the first gate.

The gravel road is steep, dizzying, and shocking. In the middle of the steppe of northern Neuquén, each curve is a new adventure accompanied by a pure beauty.

Highlights & Attractions at Estancia Chochoy Mallín

Fly Fishing, The Estancia Chochoy Mallín has operated as a fly fishing lodge for two years and is the first in northern Neuquén. In its waters tributaries, you can test all your fly fishing techniques, being able to encounter rainbow, fontinalis, and brown trout –all, obviously with the "catch & release policy– in the Reñi Leuvú and Trocomán rivers.

Horseback riding and excursions, For those who wish to experience and explore its beautiful geography through the fusion of rider and saddle, the estancia offer horseback riding excursions on its own horses, raised and cared for in its farm. There are trails with different levels of difficulty, according to the skill and requirements of the guest.

Birdwatching, Chochoy Mallin is located in a potentially privileged area for birdwatching. There is a great variety of species that can be seen without the need of being an expert. Among the species that can be seen, there are buff-necked ibis, South American snipe, quail, and Andean condor.

Cattle raising, Being a sheep and cattle ranch, there are always activities in which guests may participate as observers, such as livestock activities, marking, change of grazing paddock, vaccination, insemination, or sheep shearing, which may coincide with your stay.

Afforestation, The Ranch is developing a 650-hectare afforestation project which, in partnership with Corfone S.A, and under a real estate contract of forest area, is framed in a project of Neuquén Province to form a wood region in the northern area of the province. You can also be part of this afforestation project through the "forest escrow" that proposes being part of small plots, becoming a forest producer, and part of a sustainable, environmentally friendly development.
